What is a Founding Passenger Fare?

The Founding Passenger Fare lets you lock in our exclusive launch price before public pricing begins. Your voucher has no expiry date and can be redeemed once bookings open.
Do i need to choose a date now?

No. Founding Passenger vouchers don't require you to book a date today. Once we're ready to fly, you'll be able to choose a suitable tour date.

What is a hydrofoil?

Where do tours depart from?
A hydrofoil is a vessel that lifts above the water on underwater wings as it gains speed. This creates a smoother, quieter, and more efficient ride than a conventional boat.
How long is the tour?
Approximately 60 minutes.
Where do you go?
Our signature tour flies across Lake Taupō to 2 Mile Bay, Wharewaka and then through the middle of the bay to the iconic Māori Rock Carvings before returning to the harbour via Acacia Bay.
is the ride rough?
No. One of the biggest advantages of a hydrofoil is that it lifts above the chop, creating a smoother ride than a traditional boat in typical lake conditions. Weather and water conditions can still affect the experience.
is it safe?
Tours depart from berth 21 in the Taupō Boat Harbour. Full departure details and parking information will be provided with your booking confirmation.
Yes. Safety is our highest priority. Our vessel will operate under Maritime New Zealand regulations, and every tour includes a full safety briefing before departure.
Absolutely. We encourage you to bring your phone or camera to capture the experience and the spectacular scenery.
